July 22 is the Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, the disciple of Christ traditionally identified with the repentant woman who washed and anointed Jesus' feet and dried them with her hair. Having humbled herself and received Christ's forgiveness, Mary Magdalene was the first of Christ's disciples to see the Lord after His Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
And so, for our novena this week, I have chosen a Prayer to Saint Mary Magdalene. In it, we ask the great saint for her intercession, so that we too may someday enter into the heavenly kingdom. If you have no particular intention for which you wish to pray, please pray for all of those involved in the case of Fr. John Corapi, where, more than a year after the allegations were first made public, true repentance on all sides is the only thing likely to bring about the healing that Father Corapi, his accuser, and the Church all so desperately need.

Please – could you make it easier for us e.g. it says novena to St Mary Magdalene but to find the novena is like looking for a needle in a haystack (if you do find it), it’s like opening this and then opening that and this again and most of the time you get frustrated and end up by not finding the novena. M just asking if we Catholics could make it easier for our members of the church to get to our Catholic treasures instead of opening and opening and opening etc. Yet to get to other non Catholic teachings is so so easy and that’s just what we don’t want – just concerned. Thank you.
Joyce, I’m sorry that you had trouble finding the text of the novena. It’s linked in this post (where it says “Prayer to Saint Mary Magdalene”), and, if you received the newsletter today, it was linked directly there as well. Please let me know if you’re still having trouble.
Thank you for the link to the Saint Mary Magdalene prayer. By way of that nudge from you, I am reminded that nothing of any real consequence happens except by prayer.
Scott,
THANK YOU for this “perfect” Novena.(perfect for me, anyway, and I had no trouble finding it. Perhaps you changed the location of it before I read it) Mary Mag is my
Patron Saint. I am a convert. Fr. Corapi’s contribution to my conversion is immeasurable.
Thanks for reminding me to continue to pray for this situation. (May it be resolved to the GREATER Glory
of God!)
God Bless You,

The unchallenged facts about her life establish that Jesus cleansed her of seven demons (Luke 8:2 and Mark 16:9), probably implying that he cured her of a physical disorder rather than the popular notion that he freed her of sins.
New reshearch shows that Mary of Magdela was not the adultress in the court yard. Her sinners were demons not sexual………
I just get upset that this saint is so missrepresented

Pat:
Uhm, “new” research?
Conducted by whom?
“New” research that contradicts Tradition …
Tradition has the same authority as Scripture and Magesterium.
You should be upset there are people who have been deceived and who are gullible because the base of the Faith, true Catechetical teaching that is in accordance with the one true Faith and Holy Apostolic Mother Church, is no longer taught in “Catholic” schools or diocese.
You should be upset that error and heresy are allowed to be spread relatively unchecked.
