Why I Prayed to Saint Anthony, and What Happened
I bought a book on Saint Anthony of Padua from a book sale at a local school fundraiser. It's quite an old book from back in the 1960's, and I was reading it and found out that Saint Anthony of Padua is the patron saint for lost items. It had a short verse that Italian-Americans use whenever they lose things: "Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony, please come round. Something is lost and cannot be found." Ever since then, I would say the verse when I lost something, and I always end up finding the lost item.
