From January 13 through February 8, 2011, the readers of the About.com GuideSite to Catholicism nominated their favorite Catholic books, blogs, websites, podcasts, iPhone and iPad apps, magazines, and newspapers, as well as their favorite Catholic Facebook pages and their favorite Catholics to follow on Twitter.

It took several days to tally the thousands of nominations for hundreds of people and products across the ten categories, but now the results are in. On each of the following pages, you will find a description of one category and a brief description of each of the five nominees in that category (listed in alphabetical order).

Voting opened at 12:00 A.M. EST on Friday, February 11, 2011, and closed at 11:59 P.M. EST on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 (Mardi Gras!). The winners were announced on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, both here on the About.com Catholicism GuideSite (see Best Catholic Media - About.com Catholicism Readers' Choice Awards 2011)and on the Catholic Channel (Sirius 159) at 11:00 A.M. EST.

So without any further ado, let's introduce our finalists! First up: Best Catholic Book of 2010.
