Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes

On February 11, 1858, the Blessed Virgin appeared to 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous in a grotto in Lourdes, France. By July 16, she had appeared 18 times and declared herself to be the Immaculate Conception. During one apparition, she told Bernadette to drink of a fountain, which suddenly appeared. For over a century and a half, pilgrims to Lourdes have been miraculously healed by contact with the fountain's waters.

The Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes can be prayed at any time, but it is especially appropriate in the days before February 11, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. To finish the novena on the day before the feast, start it on February 2. To finish it on the day of the feast, start it on February 3.

Simply sign up on the day that you wish to begin praying the novena. You will receive an e-mail with the first day's prayers shortly after you sign up.
