Sunday, April 20, 2008, the sixth and final day of Pope Benedict XVI's first apostolic journey to the United States, is perhaps his busiest, even with only two events (in addition to the departure) on his public schedule.

In the morning, the Holy Father will visit the site of the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, where he will offer a prayer in honor of those who died there and elsewhere on that day. He will bless the ground with holy water and offer a blessing to all present, including many survivors of the attack, firefighters, policemen, and others who assisted in the rescue efforts, and relatives of those who died.

The afternoon will be dominated by a Mass at Yankee Stadium, commemorating the bicentennial anniversaries of the archdioceses of Baltimore, Boston, Louisville, New York, and Philadelphia. After some time for rest, the Holy Father will depart the United States from JFK International Airport, where a farewell ceremony will be held before he leaves.
