Each month, Pope Benedict XVI announces his special prayer intentions—particular things that he wishes all Catholics to pray for that month.A billboard of Pope Benedict XVI stands on the main road near Steinbach, Germany, August 2011. Pope Benedict offers two prayer intentions each month, one general, and one for a particular Catholic missionary activity. The Holy Father's prayer intentions for September 2011 seem particularly apt in the wake of World Youth Day 2011. You can read Pope Benedict's prayer intentions for September 2011, and find some appropriate prayers to join your intentions to his.
