Forum Friday: Thank You!

Friday October 16, 2009

Every Friday in 2009, I have drawn your attention to a thread in the Catholicism Forum and asked you to take a look and, if moved to do so, to participate in the thread. But never have readers responded in such large numbers and so generously as they did last week, when I asked you to offer advice to new member "Marymac129," who is trying to find her way back to the Catholic Faith.

The warm and open responses, often discussing readers' own past (and current) struggles, were genuinely moving. If you haven't taken a look at that thread, I urge you to do so.

And this week, I'm asking you to do it again. Another new member, "annakpennington," wants advice on how to return to the Catholic Church over the objections of her husband. (She also, in another thread, asks for prayers for her family's financial well-being.) What words of wisdom would you offer? Have you had a similar experience with your spouse? Post your advice in the forum!

I’ve been afraid to smile for years, because of my ugly smile.

I’ve tried home teeth whitening advice such as baking soda and peroxide .

I got tired of wasting my time once I found out these tricks really don’t work.

I don’t have a lot of money to go to a dentist for professional whitening.

I just read an article online that shows you how to get free teeth whitening samples. I am going to try some.

My wedding is coming up in a few weeks.

Wish me luck!
