What a lovely mosaic! And of course, the meaning behind it is so wonderful, as well!

Wow, that’s a beautiful mosaic. Last year in Venice I toured one of Italy’s top mosaic foundries. It was very interesting. Another great place in Italy for mosaics is Ravenna, beautiful mosaics in the early Christian churches.

I, too, love mosaics. The early Christian church in Aquileia, Italy, has a fantastic mosaic floor filled with symbols from the Old and New Testaments.

Your mosaic is especially appropriate for this year dedicated to priests…without our bishops and priests, our centuries-old ties to Jesus and the Apostles would be broken. Apostolic succession isn’t discussed too often in Sunday homilies, but it’s essential to the Catholic faith.
