Wordless Wednesday: Saint John the Forerunner

What a lovely mosaic of St. John the Baptist! How odd, when you think of it, to see his hair shirt together with wings… The one may have helped him stay true to his path to those wings, though….

Very intriguing, I’ve done quite a bit of tile and marble work.The idea of mosaic fascinates me. I’d love to be able to one some day.
