There are a number of fascinating conversations taking place in the Catholicism Forum, including the continuation of the thread on "The Bible, Tradition, and Authority" from last week. But the one I want to highlight today was started by new forum member "campym," who wanted to know what it means when evangelicals and fundamentalists say that they are "born again" and Catholics are not. Our moderator, Steven Hepburn, provides an outstanding answer.
Does it bother you when someone asks if you have been "born again"? How do you respond? Join in the discussion in the forum!

In Col 5: 16,17: I say, then: live by the Spirit and you will certainly not gratify the desire of the flesh. For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you may not do what you want.
Why is the Church not actively chastizing Catholics who accept “choice”? Why does the church tolerate so much human nature in our faith without a challenge?

i love when people ask me if I’m born again. I say yes! I am have the great opportunity to be “born again” every sunday (and if you go to daily mass, its every day) Every Sunday I receive the precious body and blood of Christ and I am reborn, rejuvenated. I in him and he in me. I am able to start my week again with the glory of our Lord. Receive him and be born again!
