Converting Abortionists Through Prayer

Tuesday September 30, 2008
Thirty-five years after Roe v. Wade, it's becoming increasingly clear that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans really want the debate over abortion to end. As long as it's still a viable political issue, each party can count on a certain number of votes. Some battles may be fought around the edges--over, say, federal funding for abortion or the partial-birth abortion ban--but for the foreseeable future, there will likely be no political solution to the destruction every year of somewhere between 1.2 million and 1.4 million unborn children.

So what can Catholics do? Many of us already donate money and time to crisis-pregnancy centers; some take in unwed mothers themselves; others even offer to adopt children who might otherwise be aborted. Not everyone has the resources to help in these ways, however.

That's why Human Life International (HLI) has created the St. Michael Prayer Campaign, with the goal of converting abortionists through the intercession of the Archangel Michael. By adding the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel to their daily prayers, every Catholic can do his or her part to bring an end to the horrors of abortion.

In the end, spiritual warfare is likely to be more effective than politics. If you would like to take part in the St. Michael Prayer Campaign, the most important thing to do is to begin praying, but you can also sign a pledge to pray every day, and you can order St. Michael prayer cards (which HLI is making available for the price of shipping) to distribute to family, friends, and fellow parishioners.

St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us!

My fiancee and I are going to be reading the complete writings of St Paul
She is a very strict Catholic and I am Presbyterian however my choice is to convert to Catholicism and I wish to be marrried in her church and her pastor is very pleased with our decision to marry I wish to be reading the writings of St Paul from a Catholic bible and to have one to study before we are married but not sure where to find one and I currently use a King James for its translation in verse
When I studied humanities in college it was understood that certain western Christianity denominations were formed to separate themselves from the Vatican however we read the Apostolic Creeed in service which states that we believe in the Holy Catholic church and I have always been very respectful towards the pope and would really prefer to confirm my proposal in the Sistine Chapel which is what I did my humanities presentation on and the history of Michelangelo who painted the scenes on the Sistine Chapel ceiling and want to know the procedure for my conversion to Catholicism
